EXPERIENCE OUR HISTORIC WYOMING HOSPITALITY

Welcome to Fort Laramie Bed and Breakfast on the Cowboy Way Ranch

ESCAPE.

Fort Laramie Bed and Breakfast is only 3 hours north of Denver, Colorado. We offer a unique opportunity to experience the historic West on our working ranch, the Cowboy Way Ranch.

Stay with us and wake up to the aroma of Cowboy Coffee cooked over an open campfire and Bear Signs!

Our guests may choose to stay in:

  • PrestigiousOfficer’s Quarters. Oh, the stories that old rocker from the Officer’s Quarters at Fort Laramie could tell!
  • Traditional Tipi. Rain, wind, or starlit skies, a true Tipi experience.
  • Restored early 1900s Sheep Wagon. Realize the basic simplicity of the sheepherder’s lifestyle after one night’s stay.
  • Rustic Cowboy Bunkhouse. Simply stepping through the door of the bunkhouse guides your imagination into the way of life for the working cowboy.

RELAX.

Let the tranquility of Wonderful Wyoming soothe your soul. Savor expansive views of the quiet countryside under a blanket of stars from the porch or fireside. Take in recreational opportunities at the nearby lakes and the North Platte River. Brush up on your history at the Fort Laramie National Historic Site just a short trek down the road.

It would be our pleasure to share every nuance of Western hospitality, past to present, with you.

Tour groups are welcome here on the Cowboy Way Ranch! We offer a special program which allows our guests to step back in time and experience the way it was in the Pioneer Days. Upon arrival, guests Cowboy Up with a Stetson and dine on Chuckwagon Grub cooked over an open fire. Program activities include learning the art of roping, competing in a game of horseshoes, and taking advantage of great photo ops in any one of the rooms or the historic jail cell and gallows.

“Our family can’t wait to return!”

“I have to agree with every review here so far – 5 stars really is not enough for the Fort Laramie B&B!  Kathy and Arnold have created a magical experience for guests, and their gracious hospitality is incomparable.  Our family can’t wait to return!”

Susanne Holloway

“Five stars isn’t enough”

“Five stars isn’t enough – needs more like ten. Wyoming sky clear and bright at night- the Milky Way so beautiful. Lots of pure, open space on this ranch.Well done Kathy, Arnold and the rest of the staff. You made it so comfortable with your gracious hosting.  I thought cowboy showers would be cold, but nope- hot water in the open air- one of my favorite parts of our eclipse weekend.  Thank you!”

Margot Krimmel

“This is the true American West, at its best.”

“This is the true American West, at its best.  Kathy and Arnold made sure our daughter, son-in-law, and their two year old and newborn had everything they needed and more.  We Grands loved the deep quiet, the starry night skies, and hiking the buttes.  The Fort Laramie B & B is something special: be sure to stay long enough to let the peacefulness soak in.”
